Mrs. Hoahing's students raised trout, from eggs provided by the DEP (Department of Environmental Protection), and on this day released them at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. They worked with DEP environmental scientists and volunteers from Trout Unlimited to explore the natural environment of the park, conduct a macroinvertebrate study, and tour the Cross River Dam and Reservoir.

Mount Pleasant Central School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 25th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students.
