Spanish National Honor Society Welcomes 36 New Members
Westlake Spanish National Honor Society Faculty advisor Maria Mittelmann kicked off our first honor society induction of the school year with this heartfelt quote, “To speak another language is to give voice to our experience.” Then Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica leadership Camila Gomez, Elise Hurdis, Christa Pomilla, Ava Raguso, Daniel Castellano, and Savannah Park welcomed families, friends, faculty members and guests and gave an overview of the society and the membership requirements as well as leading the induction oath.

Being a member of the Spanish Honor Society is a privilege given only to those members who have shown their dedication to the Spanish language through academic excellence and pursuit of extra opportunities to use the language. This honor society offers an advanced level of activities and companionship to those who enjoy the language and culture.
