Westlake Science Research Symposium 2020
You are cordially invited to Westlake High School’s first-ever VIRTUAL Science Research Symposium. The symposium is the professional forum for science research students to present their final projects. Coordinated by Mr. Lawrence McIntyre, the Science Research program is a 3-year college-level course in which students design, conduct and present original scientific research under the guidance of a professional mentor.
In normal times, science research students would have printed physical posters of their research for a live symposium. This year, Mr. McIntyre, with the help of computer aide Ms. Dawn McFarland, had to create a website to host a virtual version so that students could still present their work to the public in digital form, either as a video presentation or a pdf of their poster.
Please feel free to browse the 31 projects on the symposium website at your leisure by clicking on this link. You’ll be inspired! A special congratulations to the nine graduating seniors: Colleen Bradley, Kenny Dronzek, Olivia Eng, Paul Gschneidner, Caleb Levitt, Nicole Musial, Liam Naughton, Roman Raguso, and Jake Szeszko.
